I don't know about you, but I find it a bit of a challenge to expose the kids to theater in a setting that feels just adult enough for them to realize that sitting still is the expectation but that also allows for the too-loud questions and emergency trip to the bathroom just after the curtain has risen. Well, here you have it: a production designed for younger children. Adapted by Moses Goldberg from the children’s book by Debby Waldman, Clever Rachel will be performed at the JCC at 1 pm and 3 pm on December 16. It's designed for children 4 and up, so the fact that it's our little guy's naptime is just fine. Tickets won't be available until September 1, but they will be priced at $12 for adult mispachah (members), $15 for adult chaverim (non-members), and $8 for kids or groups of 10 or more.
